The Bloods management team of Dave Pace and Aeon Lattie believe Guiseley had observers at the Butchers Arms on Tuesday, in which case the Vanarama North side could well have gained a mistaken impression.
Lattie explained: "We lost 2-0 to Farsley and it was our worst performance of the season. If they had people there they might have gone back to Yorkshire expecting a bit of a walk in the park on Saturday and that could only help us.
"But Guiseley already have an advantage as we had to play in midweek and they didn't. Dave and I haven't been able to watch them. We've had to rely on videos and what we've been told by other clubs."
The Yorkshiremen will travel to the Butchers Arms as hot favourites. They are fourth in Vanarama North and their top scorer is former York City and Barrow striker Adam Boyes who has five goals so far.
Guiseley's management team comprises Mark Bower and his assistant Danny Boshell who has played for Altrincham.
Lattie added: "The game will be a test of how far we've come. Guiseley will be very tough opponents but the main thing is that we're at home and all the pressure will be on them.
"A lot will depend on how seriously they take the match. If they saw us against Farsley and underestimate us we could cause an upset. After all we have quite a record as FA Cup giantkillers."
