A SECOND away draw would be no bad return for unbeaten CURZON ASHTON who head to Leamington tomorrow (Saturday) for their third National League North fixture.
As Brakes manager Paul Holleran has commented, the two clubs are of similar size and have an identical record in terms of points. The difference is that the Nash have yet to concede while Leamington’s defence has been breached twice.
Holleran said: “It will be an interesting one as Curzon are a good footballing side. It’ll be tough but if we can back up the opening two results with another good one it will make a great week for us.”
Mark Bradshaw has a fully-fit squad to pick from. Matt Regan and James Baillie who missed last weekend’s 5-0 defeat of Bradford Park Avenue both trained last night (Thursday) as did Sean Miller.
At Southport, the Nash boss showed his willingness to reshape his side according to circumstances. Tomorrow he can expect a confident Leamington team ready to come at Curzon to get the win.
Holleran believes a third positive result would provide a great platform for the campaign adding: “When we saw the opening matches, we knew it would be one of the games where we have to have a go.”
The Brakes should also be at full strength as midfielder Connor Taylor has returned from holiday. Fellow midfielder Kieran Dunbar could also feature after a long-term injury.
Skipper Jack Edwards is free to play after an FA panel today upheld his appeal against the red card he received against Kidderminster.
Curzon have loaned Moussa Samassa to Ramsbottom, and Jack O’Leary to Stalybridge, to get some games. Bradshaw is also looking to find a club where Baillie can gain match fitness.
On Monday the Nash are home to Darlington.
