"Blyth may be struggling but anything can happen. They're going to come for a fight and wanting to win their first game of football, and the law of averages states that's got to happen sooner or later. We'll need to be at our best," said the Nash boss.
"Both sides are going to be looking for a reaction having suffered some bad losses and I think it'll be a good game.
"I haven't seen Spartans but I have watched some footage and I've spoken to managers who've played them. I've done my homework and I think I've got a good understanding of who they are and what they're about.
"Considering Blyth's position, their league record of only one point from five games and the fact they've lost their last three, some people might be expecting a win. But a lot of people thought Darlington would be easy and we lost 3-0.
"We won't be taking Blyth lightly. The mindset I'm going to instil into the players is that we're facing a club at the top of the table for a play-off spot."
Defender Marcus Poscha remains sidelined with a back injury and combative midfielder Max Harrop is unavailable.
BlythSpartans.com states that striker Paul Blackett is out of self-isolation and will be assessed ahead of kick-off. However, defender Liam Agnew and midfielder Rhys Evans are expected to miss out having failed to overcome injuries. Olly Scott is a long-term absentee.
Manager Mike Nelson commented: “You don’t know what to expect from clubs at this stage of the season and Curzon have brought in some good players over the summer.
“We’ve watched them in recent games and they look strong, but we go into every match hoping to break teams down and get a positive result. That won’t change going into this game.”
HYDE UNITED have announced this evening that winder Paddy Lane and midfielder Kingsley James have been loaned to Farsley Celtic for a month to get games while the Tigers are unable to play because of lockdown 2.
The move will allow James to complete a suspension incurred for being sent-off in the 1-1 home draw with Lancaster City in midweek.
Both players will be back at Ewen Fields for the home game with Scarborough on Saturday, December 5.
